Most of my family would probably describe me as a wandering soul. Since graduating high school in 2007, I’ve moved 19 times. I’ve had mailing addresses in 11 cities, 3 states and 3 different countries. Along the way, I’ve also taken 5 cross-country road trips and multiple vacations to new cities. Needless to say, I love to travel. In fact, I just got back from a month long adventure in Bali and Thailand.
I’ve met so many amazing people throughout my travels and I love being able to see different parts of the world. Throughout it all, I’ve managed to stay close with both of my parents, my two sisters and my younger brother- all of us born and raised in the great state of Minnesota. No matter how far I travel, Minnesota will always be my home.
While living in Hawaii, I fell in love with the way yoga helped me connect to my body, mind, and emotions. It wasn’t long before I wanted to be able to share that with everyone I knew, so I became certified to teach getting my 200 YTT certificate Hawaii Yoga Institute in May 2015. I’ve been teaching and continuing my yoga studies in Minnesota for the last three and a half years. In November 2018, I completed my training at Devanadi School of Yoga and Wellness to become a 500 hour Yoga teacher. In January, I continued my education and practice hours in a traditional Thai Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
After teaching over 1000 hours of yoga classes, I am certified by Yoga Alliance to provide continuing education to anyone seeking knowledge and/or credit hours. I now offer Ayurveda yoga consultations and sessions as well as private or group yoga, corporate classes, yoga parties, and Thai massage.
In addition to teaching yoga, my other hobbies include kayaking, paddle boarding, golf, fitness classes, rock climbing, painting, reading, and exploring the world with my dog, Dozer. If there’s any go-to for calming me down or making me feel better, it’s spending time with my pup.
